GLOBAL WARMING : Delhi Heats up as Dhaka Cools down

Is global warming real? To answer that question we only have to look back 5 years from today and compare the weather we had then to weathers we are getting now.

I was born and bought up in the Indian sub-continent of Bangladesh and according to global warming experts and scientists Bangladesh will be the worst hit and the first hit by G.W. (Global Warming). G.W. will wreck havoc to this over populated poorly protected region. Already it has begun, Bangladesh has had tornado’s and cyclones which has increased in numbers almost ten times in the last three years only.

Heck there is even a government department now called “Climate & Natural Disaster Division”.6 years ago we had no such division in the Bangladesh government.

For me it has already commenced, as we are getting rain “all year round”, rain which is very unusual and strange in it’s pattern, it rains hard then there is no rain and then it drizzles for hours. While on the news I can watch the updates of the sweltering Delhi heat of 49 degree Celsius – and rising! While in Dhaka the temperatures have actually “dropped” by five degree Celsius compare to temperatures recorded in the same season and month just only three years back.

These rains are so frequent now it makes you wonder if the artificial rain that were suppose to happen in China (using chemicals that made rain) actually blew from China to Bangladesh and is causing this odd weather pattern?

And that same natural rain or monsoon that was to take place over Delhi did not happen due to the artificially induced rains? Who knows! and quite frankly I don’t think anyone even cares any more. Specially with the economy looking so gloomy and pale everyone is worried about their own life and job security to worry about rain.

So as I ride my mountain bike through thick n thin muddy roads and rain, some obese and sometimes unhealthy looking onlookers sitting inside their air-conned cars gives a stare which says “what’s wrong with this poor (as in no money) guy peddling in this rain and mud?”

The Earth is ignored as these things takes place right in front of our very own eyes and we actually witness the disintegration of the environment and the balance of nature as some of us peddle and some of us laze inside air-con car’s who actually without knowing or knowing is contributing to this G.W. disasters!
