Awkward Movie : Adore (2013)

If you are in the mood to watch a very awkward movie, then Adore is just the thing for you. This is a movie about two young girls who were the bet of friends since their childhood. They grew up together and got married to each have their own sons. Then the unthinkable happens ; one of the son falls for his mother’s best friend. That is when the awkwardness of the movie goes into full throttle!

It’s all on personal taste and preferences from that point of the movie on wards.

IMDB description of the movie is more to the point : “A pair of childhood friends and neighbors fall for each other’s sons.”

Lil (Naomi Watts) and Roz (Robin Wright) are two lifelong friends, having grown up together as neighbors in an idyllic beach town. As adults, their sons have developed a friendship as strong as that which binds their mothers. One summer, all four are confronted by simmering emotions that have been mounting between them, and each find unexpected happiness in relationships that cross the bounds of convention.

One of the reviewer’s wrote “..The film is never sexy or erotic because there is so much loneliness, pain and desperation in the sex scenes.” – but there is Awkwardness no doubt in all of the sex scenes in the movie.

It gets much more awkward at the end when both their son’s get married and have daughters. I will not go on, you need to watch the movie till the end to “experience” the awkwardness I went through.
