Man stabs mom & three daughters (wearing bikini’s) at French holiday resort

A 37-year-old man identified as ‘Mo. B’ has stabbed a mother and her three young daughters at a resort in southeast France for wearing bikini’s. The middle-eastern origin man attacked the woman and her daughters (aged 8, 12 & 14) in the town of Laragne-Monteglin in the Hautes-Alpes region, outraged at the fact that they were wearing bikini’s and thongs according to AP report. The incident took place at about 10am in the morning at the VVF vacation center located in the Haute-Alpes area.

The eight-year-old daughter is reportedly fighting for life and is receiving treatment at a hospital in the town of Gap. Her mother and sisters, 12 and 14 years old, have also been admitted to the same hospital with major cuts in arms, legs and breasts.

The attacker violently stabbed the woman and girls in their body and private parts, before driving away from the scene. He was detained a few hours later by local authorities.

Some local media suggested a possible religious motive might have played a role behind the attack. French media also reported that the man was suspected to be of middle-eastern origin with radicalized ideology.
