Asterix Adventures

Asterix or The Adventures of Asterix is a series of French comics written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo. The series first appeared in the French comics magazine Pilote on 29 October 1959.

I have been reading Asterix comics since I was a kid, since grade five to be more accurate. The first adventure of Asterix (Asterix and Ceasar’s Gift) was acctually given to me by a friend of mine who saw that I was really into comics. I remember he gave it to me without me asking for it and said “here, read this. Its really funny”.

So I went back home all excited with the Asterix comic book in my school bag, had my shower and lunch and then off to bed for the afternoon nap with Asterix. The moment I opened the comic book I was amazed at the colors, fonts and the drawing quality. The characters had me captivated. That is very important in any comic book, good funny captivating characters.

The heart of any comic book. By the time I was finished with my first Asterix adventure comic book I was hungry and aching for more. So I searched where Asterix was available and one by one me and my younger brother started collecting each and every Asterix adventure comic books.

Asterix comic is very funny and very educational. I learned a lot about the B.C. history and the Roman empire. I gained a lot of knowledge and my imagination was alight.

I am now in my mid 30’s and when I first got my iPad, I got Asterix comics loaded on it and I still love reading Asterix whenever I feel like relaxing and going back in time.The Aterix comic book has given me the best of memories and the best part is Asterix creators still brings out new adventures every now and then.

If you haven’t heard or read Asterix yet, then go get it and read it, you won’t be disappointed.
