Nudity & Porn on Social Media

Some social network sites have strict rules on nudity (like Instagram, Facebook…), but not all social media sites are so puritanical.

So which social media networks allow nudity and which do not ? Here a list, but check the terms before make an adult blog because the terms can change

1) Tumblr -> Yes nudity, Yes porn content

Tumblr is on the most permissive social network. Nothing written in their terms, and there are thousands of porn blog. But you need to set up your blog and indicate the option that it is a blog containing adult content

2) Blogger / Blogspot -> Yes nudity, Yes porn content

3) Instagram -> No nudity, No porn content
Instagram terms says users “may not post violent, nude, partially nude, discriminatory, unlawful, infringing, hateful, pornographic or sexually suggestive photos or other content“.

4) Facebook -> Limitation nudity, No porn content

Facebook’s terms state that “Facebook has a strict policy against the sharing of pornographic content and any explicitly sexual content where a minor is involved. We also impose limitations on the display of nudity“.

5) Twitter -> Yes and No

Twitter is one of the most permissive of the large social networking sites. In this article: “You may not use obscene or pornographic images in either your profile photo, header photo, or user background“, but allows users to post pornography in their feed.

6) Google+ -> No nudity, No porn content

Google+ social network does not allow sexually explicit material, or anything that drives traffic to pornographic sites. The Google+ terms of use document says: “Do not distribute content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts, or sexually explicit material. Do not drive traffic to commercial pornography sites. Your Profile Picture cannot include mature or offensive content. For example, do not use a photo that is a close-up of a person’s buttocks or cleavage“.

7) Pinterest -> No porn content

Pinterest terms state that “don’t post porn or spam or be a jerk to other Pinners. Oh, and we can actually use your suggestions to make Pinterest better“. The rules of membership prohibit users from posting images featuring nudity, the user community is generally pretty good at self-policing, and most of its users are women using Pinterest
